When we first arrived at this Frankstowne Court residence, the home's beautiful architecture was hidden behind decades of overgrown shrubbery. The goal was simple but ambitious: uncover the home's potential while creating a functional space where the family could finally connect with their neighbors.
Our clients wanted to bring a piece of their previous home to Illinois. We focused on emulating the decorative stone features prevalent on the East Coast, using a complementary stone wall feature that does double duty:
Aesthetic: Highlights the home’s existing lines.
Function: Serves as a "seat wall" to accommodate extra guests during neighborhood gatherings.
By removing the "green wall" of shrubs and replacing it with an inviting stone terrace, we transformed this Naperville front yard into the social heart of the street.
A great landscape should feel like it was always meant to be there. In the second and third phases of the project, we installed a patio and custom paver walkway that creates a natural flow from the driveway directly to the new patio. This cohesive design ensures that every square foot of the front yard is both beautiful and usable.
